Cartagena 7-5 Barça: Chance missed

The blaugranes have two more games to secure top spot in the league after defeat away from home

Barça missed a great chance to secure top spot in the league with a 7-5 defeat away from home at Cartagena. The blaugranes still have two games left to secure top spot in the league in the regular season.

Ferrao opens the scoring

The game got off to the best possible start for the blaugranes. After just three minutes Ferrao put Barça ahead with an unstoppable shot. Both goalkeepers did well to keep the score down in the first half but Cartagena did find a way through with Waltinho making it 1-1 in the 18th minute.

In the second half Cartagena took control of the encounter with three goals in quick succession. At 4-1 down, Barça looked out of the contest but a goal from Antonio gave them hope at 4-2. However, two more goals from the home side made it 6-2 and despite a late comeback from Jesús Velasco's team, the home side were able to hang on for the win.
