Betis 3-4 Barça: Comeback from a very determined leader

Barça come back to win after trailing several times in the game

Grit and determination helped the Barça futsal team triumph 3-4 win away to Real Betis. Having fallen behind three times in the game, the Catalans managed to come back to remain league leaders.

Woodwork helps Betis

Barça took to the court at the Centro Deportivo Amate with their usual desire to control proceedings. Both sides' keepers were quickly into action, but the woodwork soon took centre stage and seemed to be favouring Betis.

First it was the crossbar from Ferrao after a classic counter attack in the 4th minute, but Barça had no such luck five minutes later when Antonio inadvertently diverted a corner to give Betis a 1-0 lead.

Jesús Velasco's side continued to push, but again hit the woodwork twice through Ferrao and Adolfo respectively. However the Catalan showed both grit and skill to tie the game soon after (1-1, min. 19). Dyego then hit the woodwork again before Henmi scored right on halftime to make it 2-1 at the break.

Determination seals the win

A great start to the second half as Adolfo spanked in his second (2-2, min. 24). However, the woodwork again came into play, Pito's shot rebounding when it looked like the comeback was complete. Betis were making the most of their luck, however, former Barça man Lin scoring (3-2, min. 26), meaning another comeback was needed, which Matheus provided just five minutes later (3-3, min. 31).

Barça didn't despair as there was still plenty of time to go, and their determined approach paid off with a second penalty. Ferrao couldn't score it, but Sergio González dispatched the rebound to make it 3-4 after 37 minutes. Betis then used a fly keeper to try to grab an equaliser, but Dídac stood tall to ensure his team remain league leaders.
