Palma Futsal 1-5 Barça: Into the final but Lozano injured

Captain hurts knee 35 seconds from end of Copa del Rey semifinal, with Ferrao (2), Ortiz, Catela and Pito netting the goals

Barça will be playing in Sunday's futsal Copa del Rey final. They do so by virtue of today's 5-1 defeat of Mallorca Palma Futsal at the Pabellón Fernando Argüelles, Antequera, with Ferrao scoring twice and Carlos Ortiz, Catela and Pito claiming the others.

But it wasn't all good news because captain Sergio Lozano suffsred a nasty knee injury with less than a minute to go and had to leave the court in tears. His team mates have vouched to win the trophy in his honour, which will be an 8pm kick-off at the same place.

Until that fatal last minute, the day had gone perfectly. Barça always looked the more confident and constructive of the two teams, and were two goals ahead by the break.

Parma pulled one back, but Ferrao re-established the two-goal cushion. Following Lozano's injury, and with just 35 seconds on the clock, Barça scored not once but twice, and tomorrow they'll be battling for the trophy.
