Barça 2-1 Antequera: Pushed to the limit to stay on top
The blaugranes fightback from a goal down thanks to strikes from Sergio González and Pito
History pointed to this game being a tough one for the blaugranes and that is exactly how it turned out to be. Jesús Velasco's team had to work really hard to take a 2-1 win over Antequera in the Palau courtesy of goals from Sergio González and Pito.
Tight early period
Neither side was able to impose themselves early on with Barça having more of the ball but the visitors looking dangerous on the counter. Indeed, it was one such counter that saw Antequera take the lead in the 12th minute when Pablo Ordoñez took advantage of the blaugranes losing the ball in midfield.
Just three minutes later Barça were on level terms, Lozano providing an assist for Sergio González to make it 1-1. There were chances for Antonio and Sergio González before the break but neither could find the net as the side went in at half time level.
In the second half the game continued in a similar vein. Barça dominated but blaugrana keeper Miquel Feixas had to be at his best when saving a penalty on 25 minutes. After that scare, Velasco's team upped the tempo and on 34 minutes Pito found the winner following a swift Barça counter.
Barça remain top of the table with 21 points from eight matches and their next game is away at Palma Futsal on Tuesday 15 November at 7pm CET.
