FC Barcelona 7-2 Valdepeñas: Showtime at the Palau

Two each from Dyego, Ferrao y Lozano and one from Povill are the perfect way to celebrate 50 years of futsal in the Palau

Barça are already certified as the winners of the regular season, but that didn’t stop them from presenting a wonderful display on Saturday night. On the night that the team celebrated its 50th year of futsal at the Palau, with several legends from the past in the pavilion, they pumped seven goals past Valdepeñas, the goals coming from Dyego (x2), Ferrao (x2), Lozano (x2) and Povill.

Valdepeñas, in turn, may be through to the playoffs as well, but were still playing for positions, and that intent was reflected by the fact that they were the team that scored first, and even though the Catalans promptly scored two of their own, the visitors quickly equalised to keep the game alive.

But with Àlex Lluch making his league debut, Barça eventually made their superiority known in the best possible way – by scoring goals. The perfect way to see out the regular season and get into the right gear for the forthcoming playoff quarter finals.
