Barça 5–3 Cordoba: Leaders strike again

An end-to-end clash ends with the Catalans earning a two-goal win over their Andalusian guests

Barça were great in the second at the Palau this week. Matheus, Adolfo twice, Zequi in his own net and Dyego scored the goals in an entertaining encounter with Cordoba, especially the frenetic first half, and the win means Barça stay top of the table.

Both sides scored in the first two minutes, and Barça also hit the crossbar. Some start!

Things calmed down a bit after that, and by half-time both teams has doubled the tallies, and at 2-2 it was still very much anyone’s game.

Barça were more dominant in the second half and did managed to go 3-2 up, but it was until an unfortunate deflection of a defender after 34 minutes that they had a two-goal cushion and a certain amount of security to play with.

Indeed, Perin quickly responded with an acrobatic goal for the visitors, before Dyego again earned Barça a two-goal lead, and this time a definitive one.
