After drawing 2-2 at the Palau, Barça were defeated on penalties by Levante in the opening game of the futsal league final series. It was a game with a bit of everything, the highlights being a terrific brace from Ferrao and some fine interventions from Dídac were ultimately insufficient to secure a win, and now Barça have to go to Valencia in the hope of forcing a third final game back in their own arena.
And things looked oh so promising when Ferrao fired barça into the lead after just two minutes. Against the run of play, former Barça man Roger Serrano equalised, and it was another former wear of the Barça shirt, Rafa Usín, who then added a second for the visitors before the break.
Ferrao scored again to put the sides back level, and Levante then opted for a rush goalie in a desperate bid to regain the lead, and would have done had Dídac Plana not produced a string of top saves.
Not even the chance to shoot into an empty net for Adolfo could prevent the first game of the final going to penalties, where an inspired Fede eventually got the upper hand in a thrilling but ultimately frustrating shootout.
