First loss of the season as Barça were defeated 1-0 by Real Sociedad at the Zubieta stadium after dominating both possession and play.

Control but no outcome

Barça Women came out to impose themselves on the game from kickoff, playing quickly and often in their host's half, moving the ball around, probing for an opening. Both Aitana and Aïcha got down the right well, with the latter's cross almost converted by Pina, but Molina saved her side from going 0-1.

Real Sociedad begin to attack a bit more as the game went on, but both Cata Coll and her defence remained solid. However, just when everything seemed under control, a long throw hit Laia Aleixandri on the arm inside the area and Edna scored the resulting penalty to make it 1-0 (min 37) and Real Sociedad went in ahead at halftime.

No reward from second half effort

The same again for Barça after halftime as the dominance of play continued. Graham Hansen and Sydney had good crosses in from right and left respectively, but despite the push, the home side's defence stood firm.

Pere Romeu brought on subs for more impetus and it looked like their efforts were to be rewarded in time added on as Paredes headed a corner that Fenger helped into the net (min 93). However, the goal remained ruled out due to offside after a lengthy review and the game ended 1-0.

Next up, a home match in the Liga F against Deportiva Abanca (9 Nov, 12.00pm CET) and a chance to get back to winning ways.
