Real Sociedad 1-4 Barça: Second half comeback

FC Barcelona have continued their dominance in the Liga Iberdrola with a 4-1 win at Real Sociedad. Jennifer Hermoso claimed a hat-trick and Lieke Martens got the other in San Sebastián. The game also saw Mariona play her 200^th game for the team being the only player who has appeared in all 44 games of this season, and the game was also number 100 for Lluís Cortés as coach.

And there were further landmarks. Ornella became the second youngest player to debut for the team, and we also welcomed back Jenni and Graham from injury

However, it had been the Basques who struck first. Eizagirre converted an early penalty and Real still had that slender lead when the half-time whistle blew.

The equaliser didn’t come until the 50^th minute, and it was only in the final quarter of an hour that Barça truly dominated, taking the lead and then adding two more to claim a 4-1 victory.

The team will stay in the Basque Country to play against Athletic Club on Tuesday 22 June at 4.00pm CEST
