Barça no strangers to comebacks against Allegri

FC Barcelona face the unenviable task of overturning the 3-0 deficit from the first leg against Juventus in the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday.

However, Barça are no strangers to turning proceedings around against a side managed by current Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri.

In 2012/13, Tito Vilanova’s Barça lost the first leg 2-0 at the San Siro with goals from Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari.

In the second leg, Barça stepped up to the plate to win 4-0 at the Camp Nou on what was a memorable European night – a brace from Leo Messi and goals from David Villa and Jordi Alba sealed the comeback as Barça marched on to the quarter-finals.

A similar battle awaits Barça on Wednesday but despite the magnitude of the task ahead, Luis Enrique’s men can take inspiration from that night in 2013, as well as the recent miraculous comeback against PSG.
