First contact with the Estádio José Alvalade

The first team squad work out at the venue of Wednesday's Champions League encounter with Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon

Immediately after Ernesto Valverde and Nélson Semedo had given press conferences, the FC Barcelona first team squad took to the field at the Estadio José Alvalade in Lisbon to train ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League game at Sporting.

Not only did they get to fine tune preparations for the first away trip of their European campaign, but they also made first contact with tomorrow’s venue, and were able to observe that the pitch in splendid condition for what promises to be a fascinating duel between two sides that have got their domestic championships off to wonderful starts and also won their opening Group D fixtures.
