Barça back in training amid international break

A day after FC Barcelona adhered to Tuesday's general strike in Catalonia, the team went back out to the practice field with the five players not called to international action and several others from the reserve and U-19 teams

FC Barcelona trained for the second time this week on Wednesday morning, while the vast majority of first team players were away on duty with their respective national teams. Barça had trained on Monday, but did not on Tuesday while the Club adhered to the general strike in Catalonia by cancelling all planned activities.

Thus, the team was back out on the practice field, but with just five first team players:

Aleix Vidal
Sergi Roberto
Paco Alcácer
Denis Suárez
Gerard Deulofeu

They were joined by the following nine players from Barça B: Jokin Ezkieta, Cucurella, Jorge Cuenca, David Costas, Fali, Oriol Busquets, Vitinho, Carles Pérez, Choco Lozano. One player from the Under-19 team also took part: Iñaki Peña.

Barça will train again on Thursday before having a long weekend off. The team will then be back out on the pitch next week to begin preparing for its match at Atlético Madrid, set for October 14th at 8.45pm CET.
