The Copa del Rey is getting down to the business end as on Monday FC Barcelona found out that they will face Albacete Balompié in the quarter finals of the competition. The draw means Hansi Flick's side will travel to the Carlos Belmonte stadium for a tie that will be played on Tuesday 3 February at 9pm CET. Barça made it the last eight thanks to wins over Racing Santander in the last 16 and Guadalajara in the last 32. 

Last meeting 

The two sides have never met in the Copa del Rey and in the league they have faced each other on just 14 occasions between 1991 and 2005 with Barça winning 14, drawing four and losing just once, at home in Spotify Camp Nou in 1995.

The last time the sides met also came at Spotify Camp Nou back in 2005 when a certain Leo Messi scored his first ever official goal for FC Barcelona following an assist from Ronaldinho to give Barça a 2-0 win.
