Marcus Rashford has become an important player since arriving at FC Barcelona. Through effort and consistency, the Englishman has been a regular feature in Hansi Flick’s line-ups in recent matches. And he has made the most of it, scoring two goals and providing four assists. In fact, he is Barça’s top provider this season.
The latest demonstration came in Wednesday’s game against PSG. Rashford was one of the positives of the match, despite the defeat for his side. The Brit was key in unlocking the defence at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. And with a superb first-time pass, he set up Ferran Torres to beat Lucas Chevalier and make it 1-0 in the 19th minute.
Team topper for assists
That assist was his fourth of the season in all competitions. This tally makes him Barça’s leading goal provider in 2025/26. The forward has also delivered decisive passes Real Sociedad, Oviedo and Valencia. Chasing him in this ranking are Lamine Yamal (3), Raphinha (2) and Dani Olmo (2).
Rashford also scored a brace of goals of his own at at St James’ Park in the Champions League opener, meaning he has been involved in every Barça goal in this season’s Champions League so far.
Decisive in the opposition box
Across all competitions, he has contributed to a goal every 88 minutes. He is also the Barça player with the most touches in the opposition box, with 62. Incredible numbers for a newcomer, showing that the Englishman has arrived in Barcelona intent on leaving his mark. And he is succeeding.
