Today was a work day as usual for the FC Barcelona squad, although a little less intense than usual. Following the brilliant 6-0 rout of Valencia at the Estadi Johan Cruyff less than 12 hours earlier, the players that were involved in that game went through a routine warm-down session on Monday morning at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. The remainder trained as normal, with the welcome sight of Frenkie de Jong back with them.
There is no time for rest with the Champions League kick-off just three days away.
Hansi Flick and his players will shortly be heading to St James' Park to take on Newcastle United in the first of eight league phase matches. That game kicks off at 9pm CEST on Thursday.
