After being included in the starting XI in Thursday's game against Manchester United, Ronald Araujo reached 100 appearances for Barça. In training on Friday, the first session following the defeat at Old Trafford, the Uruguayan defender received a commemorative jersey with the number 100 on the back and smiled for the cameras with his team mates.
The centre back reached his century with 71 appearances in the league, 9 in the Champions League, 8 in the Copa del Rey, 7 in the Europa League and 5 in the Spanish Super Cup. Many more matches for Araujo are surely still to come with the Uruguayan determined to add to his honours at the club which include the 2021 Copa del Rey title and the Spanish Super Cup from the current season.
The session itself took place at the Ciutat Esportiva and was recovery in nature following the trip to Manchester United on Thursday. As well as the available first team players, Arnau Rafús from Barça Atlètic and Ángel Alarcón from the U19 squad took part.
