Lewandowski scores first goal for FC Barcelona

Just three minutes after the game has started at Spotify Camp Nou, the Polish striker was already celebrating his first blaugrana goal

Robert Lewandowski only needed three minutes to score his first goal at Spotify Camp Nou. In the Joan Gamper Trophy on Saturday night, he offered plenty of clues at why he is considered one of the greatest forwards of the last decade.

Of the six goals scored in the emphatic defeat of Pumas, the Polish striker was involved in four.

Pedri and Lewandowski, a promising partnership

Lewandowski’s goal came off a brilliant assist from Pedri, and his finish was extraordinary. From the narrowest of angles he picked his spot and delivered the kind of finish that only the greats can produce.

Pedri would later score two of his own, and both of them were served up by the new blaugrana darling. The first was a sweet little through ball, while the second off the back of his heel was pure magic.

We’d already seen plenty of what the Pole is made of in the United States, with some fine performances and the creation of floods of chances, but he had yet to score a goal in his new shirt. He has now, and one thing his obvious. There is going to plenty more to come where that came from
