Pedri impeccable once again

Pedri impeccable once again

The Canary Islander is outstanding in the defeat of Sevilla, and repeats his heroics in Istanbul with a near carbon copy of his goal against Galatasaray

Barça have racked up another win against a strong team, and once again there was a master-class from Pedri González. The Canary Islander won the three points with an absolute ‘golazo’ and in doing so catapulted his team to second place in the table.

Fourth goal of the season

Pedri may have missed about half of the season through injury, but he has now already scored as many goals as he did in his debut campaign, four.

He has scored twice in La Liga, once versus Espanyol and now against Sevilla, although there was also the one he ‘scored’ against Valencia that officially went down as an Aubameyang goal. He also found the net at San Mamés in the Copa del Rey encounter with Athletic Club, and in the Europa League away to Galatasaray.

In fact, his goal tonight resembled the one in Istanbul in many ways. On both occasion he made two shimmies before confidently picking his spot, although the one against the Turks was from somewhat closer range.

Total footballer

Pedri made 61 passes in the game and 51 of them found their man. And his dribble attempts produced a 100% success rate. But he also contributed to defensive duties, with two interceptions and three recoveries, and was on the end of two fould without making any himself.
