Most internationals back in Barcelona

The first team squad trained this morning on pitch 2 at Ciutat Esportiva. Those involved in the training match on Wednesday against Cornellà did post-match recovery work this morning. The rest of the squad trained as normal, and featured the return of the international players Ter Stegen, Memphis, Demir, L. De Jong, F. De Jong and Nico.

In fact, coach Ronald Koeman has almost an entire squad available to him, other than Sergiño Dest. The U.S.A. player featured for his country in the early hours of the morning CEST time, scoring a goal as the U.S.A. beat Costa Rica 2-1. The victory took the U.S.A. to 11 points and second place in the qualification table for the 2022 World Cup, three behind leaders Mexico. The next training session is on Friday at 11am CEST.
