LIga Clásicos set for October and March

Camp Nou to host the first encounter of the season, with the trip to the Santiago Bernabéu coming later

The Spanish Federation has announced the schedule for the 2019/20 league season, and that means we also have dates for the two Clásicos against Real Madrid. Curiously, the two rivals will be meeting in the same weeks (10 and 26) as they did last season, when Barça won both fixtures in convincing fashion.

The sides will meet first at Camp Nou on October 27. However, please note that, like all dates on the fixture list, this date is tentative and there could be modifications. All games are provisionally scheduled for the Sunday of each weekend, but could be moved to another day, usually the Saturday. The exact date and kick-off time will not be announced until nearer to the game itself.

The same goes for the trip to the Santiago Bernabéu, which is pencilled in for March 1 of next year.

Remember, last year, Barça breezed to 5-1 victory in Madrid with a hat-trick from Luis Suárez and goals from Philippe Coutinho and Arturo Vidal, and also won the return in the Catalan capital, 1-0 thanks to an Ivan Rakitic strike. After also putting Real Madrid out of the Copa del Rey semi-finals last season, let’s hope our wonderful form in the famous fixture continues!
