CD Lugo v FC Barcelona B: Nahuel stars in comeback win (1-2)

Gerard López's side produce a great performance to win away from home despite going behind as the blaugranas' new number '9' scores a brace

Matías Nahuel has properly adapted to FC Barcelona B now. If there were still doubts, he answered them away to Lugo this Sunday as Barça B won 2-1 thanks to a brace from the blaugranas’ new number ‘9’. Gerard López’s side secured three important points as they fight to move up the table.

Barça B started by going behind as Chuli made the most of a second ball following a Varo save to make it 1-0 in the 17th minute. However, the early setback didn’t deter them and they tried to level the scores in the first half. They were unable to do this but they didn’t give up.

Five minutes after the break the deserved equaliser arrived. Nahuel, who had hit the bar in the first half, found a way through as he finished a cross from Cucurella. The blaugranas didn’t settle with the draw as they continued pushing for a goal. The second arrived from a counterattack started by Aleñá, involving Marc Cardona, and finished by Nahuel to make it 2-1 in the 70th minute.

The goals were enough to secure a third consecutive away win which leaves Gerard López’s side on 33 points. The next game is at the Mini against Nàstic at 4.00pm CET next Saturday.
