Contract extension agreement reached between FC Barcelona and the player Dani Ávila, which sees him set to remain with the Club for the next two seasons up to 30 June 2028, with the option of extending for a further season for both parties.

As such, the Spanish midfielder will continue with the blaugranes and become a Barça Atlètic player after completing his cycle in U19s football. He was joined by Director of Youth Football José Ramón Alesanco for the signing of the contract.

Developed in the Barça style, Dani Ávila is controlling central midfielder with leadership skills. In fact, he was first captain in recent seasons, including last season with the U19 side.

Adding to eight seasons in blaugrana

Born on 22 March 2007 in Santiago el Mayor (Murcia), Dani Ávila has completed seven seasons as a Barça player. He joined the Club in 2018 at U11 level from CFS Progreso. He completed the 7-a-side football phase before moving up to 11-a-side football, standing out as a leader on the pitch.

He is part of the same great generation from 2007, having developed alongside Cubarsí, Bernal, Lamine Yamal and many others down the years. Dani Ávila is known as a player who orchestrates play from the middle of the pitch, seeing a lot of the ball. However, recent seasons have seen the Spaniard experience injuries, meaning he hasn't been able to make the most of all his football talent so far.

This extension is testament to the Club's confidence in the player, who will now join Barça Atlètic after a final year at U19 level, having played 12 games, eight in the league, two in the UEFA Youth League and another two in the Copa del Rey.
