Barça Atlètic showed real character in Castellón de la Plana, coming from behind to earn a point after a 2–2 draw. Two goals down inside the opening twenty minutes, a Brian Fariñas penalty just before the break and a late equaliser from Ureña brought them level in this rearranged fixture, postponed earlier due to bad weather.

Difficult start

It was far from the ideal opening for Juliano Belletti’s side. Early on, Campos attempted to clear a dangerous move but instead sent the ball looping over Kochen and into his own net. Things soon got worse when Catalá finished from the centre of the box to make it 2–0.

Despite the setback, Barça Atlètic headed into half-time with renewed hope after Juan was brought down in the area and Brian Fariñas calmly converted the resulting penalty (2–1, 40’).

That crucial goal changed the momentum after the restart, especially when Sallés was sent off after picking up a second yellow card, leaving Castellón B down to ten men . With more space to work with, Barça Atlètic were able to move the ball more fluently.

The equaliser eventually arrived late on, when Guillermo’s cross to the far post was headed home by Ureña on 87 minutes.

The scoreline remained level in a dramatic finale that saw Castellón miss a penalty against the post , hit the woodwork again in stoppage time, receive a straight red card for Alcira and witness Tunkara’s powerful header crash against the crossbar in the clearest chance for Barça Atlètic right at the end.
