Barça Atlètic 0-2 Osasuna Promesas: Lack of precision proves costly

Barça Atlètic suffered a 2-0 defeat at home in the Estadi Johan Cruyff at the hands of Osasuna Promesas with two goals in the second half from the visitors consigning the blaugranes to defeat in a relegation battle in the Primera Federación. 

Lack of sharpness in front of goal 

In the first half the home side had the better of the game, dominating possession but Osasuna keeper Stamatakis kept Sergi Milà's side at bay with a string of excellent saves. At the back, Barça were comfortable with the visitors barely threatening in the opening 45 minutes. The only time they did came just before half time when Sixtus headed home only for the goal to be ruled out as the ball had gone out of play. 

Osasuna find their goals 

The visitors showed the ruthlessness in the second half that Barça lacked in the first. On the hour mark Garriz headed in from a corner to make it 1-0 and then on 77 minutes, Sixtus found the net again, only this time the goal stood and Osasuna were 2-0 up. 

Barça showed spirit as they fought for a way back into the game but the closest they came to a goal was when Dacosta fired just wide. The blaugranes will be back in action next Saturday at the Estadi Johan Cruyff when they face Tarazona at 6pm CET.
