Barça Atlètic have beaten Rayo Majadahonda in a fine display of set piece brilliance. That's how all three of the goals scored by Faye, Naim García and Marc Guiu came about, with a stellar Moha Moukhliss playing a part every time.
That's four wins in five games for the reserves, and not one defeat, and next Sunday they'll be looking to keep the good vibes rolling as they host Cultural Leonesa at the Estadi Johan Cruyff (7pm CET).
Top start
The opener came from a Moha Moukhliss corner followed by a lovely piece of work from Marc Bernal and Pau Víctor on the edge of the box and with an opportunistic Mikayil Faye finishing off the move.
11 minutes later Rayo Majadahonda levelled with a goal that was curiously reminiscent of the one that had just conceded, and much as Barça piled on the pressure for the rest of the half, there would be no more scoring until the other side of the break.
Wonderful goals
The second came four minutes after the restart, Naim firing a free kick from long range and placing the ball exactly where the visiting keeper was never going to get it. That's what's called a scorcher, and Barça were back in command.
And the third also came after a corner. Once again it was Moha Moukhliss with the delivery, and substitute Marc Guiu was on it like a whippet. He lost his marker brilliantly and then stunned everyone by back-heeling the ball straight into the visiting net. That was 3-1 and rounded off w near-perfect evening, the only downside being a yellow card for one of the men of the match, Moha Moukhliss, which means he'll be suspended next weekend.
