Barça Atlètic picked up a deserved point at the Estadi Johan Cruyff in a 1-1 draw against an Amorebieta side who are pushing for promotion from the Primera RFEF.
With both sides looking to get into the promotion play offs, the game was an important one and that was obvious on the field in the opening half. After Amorebieta had gone close through Jauregi, it was Rafa Márquez's team who took the lead. Barberà's shot was well saved by the keeper but Aranda was on hand to turn in the rebound to put Barça Atlètic 1-0 up on 17 minutes.
The lead remained into the second half and Luismi Cruz and then Diounkou both failed to take chances to make it 2-0. The clearest chance, however, fell to Pelayo as his shot came back off the crossbar.
Amorebieta made Barça play when just after the hour mark Guerrero turned home a well placed cross from a free kick inside the six yard box to make it 1-1.
Barça were reduced to 10 men when Zalaya was shown a second yellow with 10 minutes to go. However, both side would end the game with 10 men after the visitors' Seguin was also sent off late on.
