Barça Atlètic played their first game at the Estadi Johan Cruyff in 29 says and did it by beating La Nucía. But it was just in the nick of time. Fabio Blanco found the net right at the very end of the tightest of encounters against a stubborn side from Alicante who had equalised from the penalty spot.
Rafa Márquez's side end the first leg of the league fixture list with 29 points, which leaves them sixth and just one point adrift of the playoffs
They had dominated the early throes of the game, but visiting goalkeeper Facundo Ackermann was in inspired form. It wasn't until after the interval that they finally found the goal they needed, Victor Barberà leaping onto a 53rd minute rebound that would be cancelled out by the penalty just two minutes later.
But just when it looked it was going to end 1-1, Blanco came to the rescue in the third and final minute of injury time and the blaugrana could celebrate three very justified points.
