FC Barcelona B 5–0 CD Castellón: Big win in last game at Johan Cruyff

Barça B bade farewell to the Estadi Johan Cruyff for the season with a fabulous 5-0 win, but unfortunately results elsewhere didn’t work in their favour and it was all in vain. The reserves will not be going into the promotion play-offs and will now end 2021/22 next Saturday at the ground of UCAM Murcia.

Visotrs Castellon looked lively early on, and Arnau Tenas had pull off some fine saves to keep the scores level. But the pattern of the game then shifted. Matheus Pereira knocked in a 17th minute cross and shortly after Álvaro Sanz doubled the lead when he headed in an assist from Ferran Jutglà.

Things quietened down for a while, before Barça B unleashed all their fury in the second half. Ez Abde finished off a sweet team move to make it 3-0 and then the top goalscorer in the division, Ferran Jutglà, added to his tally off a delicious assist from Zacarias Ghailán.

Ángel Rodado rounded off a fine performance with a powerful finish from inside the area. 5-0, and a wonderful result, but sadly no playoff place for Sergi Barjuan’s side.
