1- Emre Demir, born in Mersin, 15 January 2004. Mersin is in the south of Turkey, a Mediterranean city like Barcelona.
2- He started playing football with Mersin Kuvayi Milliye at the age of age 6 and was signed by Kayserispor Academy two yeasr later - an extraordinarily young age in Turkish football.
3- He was discovered in a Youtube video by Shota Arveladze, the former manager of Kayserispor. The famous Georgian forward played for Trabzonspor, Ajax, Rangers and Levante.
4- He is the youngest goalscorer in Turkish Super League history. He was just 15 years, 9 months and 25 days old when he scored gainst Gençlerbirliği, just hree minutes after coming on as sub. The previous record belonged to Enes Ünal, now of Getafe.

8- After Rüştü Reçber and Arda Turan, Emre Demir is going to be third Turkish player to register as a Barça player.
9- His elder brother was a professional footballer too and his father was a goalkeeper in the amateur leagues.
10- Kayseri, where Emre Demir spent eight years, is one of Turkey’s most famed culinary destinations. Mantı dumplings stuffed with mincemeat and served with yoghurt and garlic sauce and a highly seasoned, air-dried cured beef called Pastırma are especially well-known delicacies.
