Today saw the final FC Barcelona event take place that brings the “Equality creates value” campaign to a close. The initiative arose due to International Women's Day and was to raise awareness and acknowledge the key role of women in the Club's day-to-day operations. it is part of the institution's strategic commitment to equal opportunities and promoting an inclusive culture in all ambits.

Around 200 people, mainly Club members, took part in the meeting that continued the campaign that was presented on March 8, which focuses on valuing the contribution of women to the identity and growth of FC Barcelona. The warm reception for the initiative is evidence of the growing interest in promoting spaces for reflection and participation around this issue.

The meeting was held in the commercial office at FC Barcelona head offices and featured notable institutional presence, with members of the Management Committee and representatives from different Club departments. Among those in attendance were the head of the President's Office Manana Giorgadze, the director of the Social Area Ana Aznar, the director of Barça Identity Paloma Mikadze, the director of Strategy Marta Canós, the director of Technology Miriam Ferrando and the director of the Barça Foundation Marta Segú, among others. Their presence was testament to the cross-sectional nature of this initiative in the organisation.

The event also brought together representatives from business and institutions, as well as guests from collaborating and sponsor entities, bringing a diverse and cross-sectional outlook on leadership by women. This exchange of ideas added to the debate and reinforced synergies between the Club and associates.

A participatory experience focused on leadership

The closing event was both dynamic and participatory, in which members were the key players. The approach aimed to promote a warm and inclusive experience for all those present. The main moment was an experience workshop run by Areia Estibalez and Paula Sastre, both clinical psychologists from the “Somos Estupendas” (We are wonderful) platform, which included participatory activities aimed at emotional well-being, reflection and interaction among those present. The activities combined practical exercises and spaces for dialogue, with the audience actively encouraged to get involved. The session created an atmosphere of confidence and interaction, strengthening the bond between members and encouraging dialogue around leadership and the role of women in the Club and society. The activity helped with sharing experiences and raising awareness about different references.

Community, connection, and campaign comes to a close

The event also involved Barça Foundation Genuine female players, further testament to the Club's commitment to inclusivity and diversity, along with female references from different professional domains.

This meeting brings the FC Barcelona “Equality creates value” campaign to an end, reaffirming the commitment to equality, diversity, and empowerment of women as key pillars for the present and future of the Club. As such, the Club consolidates a line of action aimed at generating a positive social impact beyond the sporting domain.
