The FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta accompanied the participants in the Culer Walk at the starting line on Friday evening local time at the Estadi Johan Cruyff. The extended version of the walk to Montserrat, aimed at members, Supporters' Club members and Barça fans began at the official starting time of 10pm CEST. 

Also present were Institutional vice president Elena Fort, commissioner of the 125th anniversary, David Carabén, as well as the president of the Catalan Sports Federation Union (UFEC), Gerard Esteva and the Sant Joan Despí local councillor for sport, Francesc Vives.

Joan Laporta greeted participants and accompanied them during the first few kilometres of the route. On Saturday morning he will be at Montserrat to greet them and also the participants from the short route who will depart from Collbató on Saturday morning local time. 

The long walk, 46.7 kilometres in length, will pass through the municipalities of Sant Joan Despí, Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Molins de Rei, Sant Vicenç dels Horts, Pallejà, El Papiol, Castellbisbal, Sant Andreu de la Barca, Martorell, Sant Esteve Sesrovires, Esparreguera and Collbató before reaching Montserrat. 

On Saturday at 8am local time the short route, just over 6 kilometres, will set off from Collbató.
