FC Barcelona has once again been recognised as a benchmark in its commitment to creative excellence, at the forefront of design and visual communication. The identity created for its 125th anniversary has won a bronze prize in the World Brand Design Society Identity awards in the Brand Design Creation category. This distinction recognises a visual identity that celebrates Barça’s history while looking toward the future, with the tagline "We Want the Ball" representing one of the club’s most defining traits.
Meanwhile, the new digital identity of Espai Barça, with its "More than a Stadium" stagline, also received a Commended Mention in the Digital: Website category for its ability to convey every detail of the groundbreaking project. Through an innovative and dynamic web platform, members and fans can closely follow the progress of redevelopment work on Spotify Camp Nou and its environs.
FC Barcelona worked with the Morillas branding consultancy to bring these two creative projects to life, developing a visual identity that reflects both innovation and a forward-looking vision while also honouring the club’s origins.
About the WBDS Design Awards
The World Brand Design Society is a nonprofit organization founded in 2008 by volunteers dedicated to supporting the creative industry and education worldwide. Its Design Awards, among the most prestigious in the sector, are independent accolades that annually recognise the talent of global agencies, in-house design teams, and independent creative teams from around the world. Both the new Espai Barça identity and the FC Barcelona 125th anniversary project have been recognised among the best creative proposals of the year.
