New FC Barcelona Foundation campaign featuring players to raise awareness about its work

Campaign to be communicated throughout January to raise awareness of Barça's social commitment through its foundation

First team footballers from the men's team - Ilkay Gündogan, Jules Koundé, Fermín López and Oriol Romeu - and the women's team - Alexia Putellas, Irene Paredes, Lucy Bronze and Caroline Graham Hansen - feature in a new campaign launched by the FC Barcelona Foundation. The aim is to raise awareness about its work among members, fans, and the general public.

The campaign aims to convey the Foundation's position as a leading advocate for Barça's social commitment to help the most vulnerable children and young people in Catalonia and another 16 countries worldwide. The campaign slogan is “Beyond sport with the Barça Foundation”, a commitment that is testament to the “More than a Club” that defines FC Barcelona's DNA.

The messages from the six players emphasise this commitment to go beyond sport and explain the Foundation's main activities, namely supporting children with diseases, preventing violence in schools, helping young people at social risk find work and supporting refugees. All these actions come to fruition via projects in different countries across the world using FC Barcelona Foundation's SportNet socio-educational methodology as a tool.

This campaign is further evidence of the strong commitment and involvement from the players in the Club's professional teams to the organisation's different programmes and partnerships both in Catalonia and worldwide. Let's not forget that players and coaches from the professional teams give 0.5% of their annual salaries to fund social and charity projects, in addition to the Club allocating 0.7% of its annual income.
