The FC Barcelona Board of Directors met this Tuesday for an ordinary session at head office, with main actions and decisions as follows:
Espai Barça and Spotify Camp Nou works update
The Board of Directors were updated on the status of the Espai Barça work that began on 1 June. They were informed that the work to remove the rubble from the third tier remains on schedule and that the third licence to enable building work on the new Spotify Camp Nou is expected to be granted in the coming weeks.
Member Census drive
The Board of Directors were informed about the different actions taking place to encourage completion of the 2023 Members Census. A team from the Barcelona Supporters' Office helped the Board of Director members fill out the census for their children after the process began on 7 September to coincide with the new school year. 43% of members aged over 18 years old had completed the census by 6 September, representing 35% of the total number of members. Please note that this updating process ends on 31 October 2023 and members who don't update their details in the Census will not be able to renew their card for 2024. Not updating the Census will mean the loss of season ticket holder status when renewing season tickets for the new Spotify Camp Nou, as well as any position on the waiting list for season tickets for the new Spotify Camp Nou, preventing the purchase of a season ticket for the new stadium.
Deco's presentation as the Club's new Sporting Director and summer transfer window assessment
Today was the first Board of Directors meeting attended by Anderson Luis de Souza "Deco" as FC Barcelona's new Sporting Director. Announced on 16 August, Deco provided an update on the first team squad and an assessment of the previous transfer window. The Club's new sporting structure will be officially presented during a press conference at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper tomorrow (Wednesday) at 11.00am CEST.
Board of Directors to meet for an ordinary session in September
The Board of Directors agreed to meet for an ordinary session this month with a view to approving the accounts for the 2022-23 season and the budget for the 2023-24 season, along with arranging the date and format for the Members' Ordinary General Assembly towards the end of October.
