Board approves budget for 2022/23, with forecast profits of 274 million euros

Closure of 2021/22 financial year and 2022/23 both approved, while Ordinary Assembly of Delegate Members set to be held online on October 9

The FC Barcelona board of directors, sitting in ordinary session at the Barça Store Canaletes in Las Ramblas, Barcelona, has reached the following agreements:

Budget approved for 2022/23

The Board of Directors has approved the budget for the 2022/23 season which includes an operating income budget of 1.255 billion euros, with a profit forecast of 274 million euros.

At the end of the previous season, the board closed the 2021/22 financial year with a turnover of 1.017 billion euros and a profit of 98 million euros.

Online Assembly of Delegate Members on October 9

The Board has also decided that the Ordinary General Assembly of Delegate Members will be held online on October 9, for which 4,451 members will be summoned. The first call will be at 10am and the second at 10.30am. That same day, at 9pm CEST, FC Barcelona will host RC Celta Vigo at the Spotify Camp Nou in LaLiga.

Sustainability: Reduction of plastic

It was reported at the meeting that work is already underway at the club with the aim of reducing the consumption of single-use plastic as much as possible. An awareness campaign among the workers and the board has involved distribution of thermal bottles, changes to all water sources and the removal of all plastic cups together with a reduction in plastic bottles.
