Good representation from the Board of Directors at the Las Vegas Supporters' Club

The second Supporters' Club event on the US tour shows the passion that Barça generates in North America

The Las Vegas FC Barcelona Supporters' Club on Friday organised the second event for the 'penyes' on the US tour. It came the day before Barça's game against Real Madrid on Saturday evening local time in the Nevada city and was attended by over 200 members from eight different Supporters' Clubs.

The Club's Board of Directors was well represented in the form of vice presidents Rafael Yuste and Elena Fort alongside board members Josep Ignasi Macià, Xavier Puig, Joan Soler and Àngel Riudalbas. Former Barça player Juliano Belletti was also present as was the father of midfielder Pedri, Fernando González, who is president of the Tenerife Supporters' Club in Spain.

The event took place in the PKWY Tavern Decatur in Las Vegas with not only members of the city's 'penya' but also members from Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco, the three official Barça clubs in California. Furthermore, there was representation from the 'Un Crit Valent' penya from Puebla, Mexico, from Miami-Dade, Fresno and Tenerife in Spain.

Passion for Barça in Las Vegas

As the FC Barcelona party arrived the Barça anthem sounded outside at the PKWY Decatur, home of the Las Vegas penya. Fans present clamoured for the autograph of Belletti and to take photographs with the directors, at the same time showing off their penya scarves and flags.

Jared Lindsey, president of the Las Vegas penya, which he decided to form due to his friendship with the president of the Los Angeles penya, said a few words to those present, thanking the Club for the representation and for all those who attended the first ever institutional event organised by the Supporters' Club.

Juliano Belletti showed himself to be surprised by the amount of Barça fans in Las Vegas but then reminded everyone that passion for Barça can be found all around the world.

Director Josep Ignasi Macià presented his colleagues to the fans, including Fernando González, the father of Pedri, whose presence brought a chant of the midfielder's name.

Vice president Rafael Yuste ended the series of speeches, emphasising that the most important thing for the Club is not winning, but how to win, adding that events such as the one in Las Vegas show the passion and feeling aroused by 'More than Club'.

The Las Vegas penya was made official in May 2021 and is the newest of its kind in the USA.
