Camp Nou, venue for the Pimec awards

The event, organised by the micro, small and medium sized business community in Catalonia, was held at Barça's ground and brought together Joan Laporta, Pere Aragonès and Ada Colau

On Monday at Camp Nou the 35th edition of the PIMEC Awards, organised by the micro, small and medium sized business community in Catalonia, took place to reward the best business initiatives in the country over the last 12 months. 

The awards ceremony took place on the pitch at Camp Nou and the event was attended by over 1,000 people including FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta; President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez; president of the Catalan Regional Government (Generalitat), Pere Aragonès; the mayor of Barcelona, Ada Colau, the president of PIMEC, Antonio Cañete and other figures from the Catalan business world. Also present were FC Barcelona vice presidents Rafa Yuste, Elena Fort, Eduard Romeu and directors Miquel Camps - also assistant president of PIMEC - Xavier Barbany, Aureli Mas and Àngel Riudalbas. 

During the event president Joan Laporta took the opportunity to thank PIMEC for choosing Camp Nou as the venue for the annual awards ceremony, an event that also coincides with National Business Day in Catalonia and the United Nations' Day of Micro, Small and Medium Sized Enterprises.
