Barça, a pioneer in entrepreneurship training and innovation in sports through BIHUB

The experience and knowledge accumulated by FC Barcelona in recent years in the field of innovation is now transferred to the field of education, with the launch by the club of two programs. One of sports entrepreneurship and another of innovation in sport, a fact that makes Barça the first sports club to offer comprehensive and complementary training for those professionals who want to create new projects or manage innovation in sports organisations to meet the challenges of the future. The two programs begin on February 10 and are part of the online educational proposal of the Barça Innovation Hub, the research, innovation and training platform of FC Barcelona.

The Sports Entrepreneurship Program is the first virtual and global program of its kind, designed by experts in the sports industry, and is aimed at all those professionals who want to launch projects in this field. The program lasts six months and offers the necessary guidance, support and resources to early-stage entrepreneurs to develop their idea in the sports industry. It is also aimed at all those students who want to complete their training in order to start projects related to this field.

As a complement to this content, the two-month Innovation in Sport program will also be launched from 10 February, which is the first time the Barça Innovation Hub offers comprehensive training in the field of its activity, such as innovation in sports for organisations such as clubs, leagues and federations, among others. In this sense, FC Barcelona becomes the first club in the world to offer a program of this nature, taking advantage of the experience and knowledge generated in recent years through this innovative platform.

These two newly created proposals complement the offering of the Barça Innovation Hub, which currently offers 27 online programs in different specific disciplines related to sports sciences, marketing and management in different areas of sports organisations, for more than 15,000 students from 125 countries around the world. At the same time, the Barça Innovation Hub organizes 10 different master's and postgraduate courses with different universities and academic institutions, which already have more than 500 students.
