FC Barcelona has received official recognition from the Mossos d'Esquadra for its 125th anniversary in a ceremony at the headquarters of the Catalan government's police force in Barcelona. As part of the events marking the Day of the Squads, this recognition was presided over by the Director General of the Police, Josep Lluís Trapero, and attended by the highest operational commanders of the Barcelona Police Region. It was also attended by FC Barcelona President Joan Laporta and Board members Elena Fort, Aureli Mas, and Miquel Camps. The Mossos d'Esquadra wished to express their gratitude for the willingness of FC Barcelona, its management, and its entire team, especially its Security team, to respond to highly complex events where violent radicalism can sometimes emerge. Regarding radical groups in the field of sports, the Club has completely distanced itself for years with the aim of promoting family-friendly and safe environments at the Stadium.

President Laporta commented on this recognition: "It is a gesture with a strong institutional significance, and we are very proud to be the recipients. The relationship and cooperation between both institutions, the Mossos d'Esquadra and FC Barcelona, goes back a long way. It is a relationship of trust and maximum collaboration." In his speech, Josep Lluís Trapero emphasized: "Both the Mossos d'Esquadra and Barça are very important institutions in the country: one in the field of sports and the other in security. Two institutions that transcend their own scope of action and that convey essence and values."

This year, 135 security measures have been implemented, mainly for soccer and basketball matches, but also for handball, futsal, and roller hockey. For example, this season, security measures have been implemented for 22 matches classified as high-risk, mostly international, where security measures are extremely stringent. The duration of one of these operations is approximately 13 hours, and includes the participation of Mossos d'Esquadra from various services, including: citizen security, the motorcycle group, administrative police, BRIMO, ARRO, Canine, Subsoil, TEDAX, and information, among others.
