FC Barcelona and Scotiabank renew their partnership agreement

The Club and the financial institution will continue to work together through June 2026, in a partnership that also includes Barça women’s team and the collaboration with the Barça Foundation and the Barça Academy project.

FC Barcelona and Scotiabank have renewed their partnership agreement, through which the Canadian financial institution will continue to be the club's regional partner in Canada, various countries in Latin America and the Caribbean for the next four seasons, until 30 June 2026. The partnership is based on a series of common values such as effort and teamwork, as well as the shared desire of both organizations to have a positive impact on their environment through sports. Scotiabank has also renewed its partnership with the Barça Foundation, the Barça Academy project and has become the sponsor of FC Barcelona women’s team, part of its commitment to achieving equality both in sport and in society. 

Representatives of both organizations celebrated the renewal of the agreement at a ceremony held in New York, during the men’s football team’s pre-season tour of the United States. On behalf of FC Barcelona, ​​Rafael Yuste, first vice president of the Sports Area, and Àngel Riudalbas, member of the Board of Directors, as well as Marta Segú, general director of the Barça Foundation, attended the event, while Mike Tasevski, Vice President of Global Sponsorships, Nelson Lanza, Director & Head of International Sponsorships and Danilo de La Pava, Senior Project Manager of International Sponsorships attended on behalf of Scotiabank

The partnership between Barça and Scotiabank began in the 2016/17 season and since then both parties have worked together on different programs, through which Scotiabank customers and Barça fans across Latin America and the Caribbean have enjoyed different football experiences related to the club. As part of this, Scotiabank and Barça Foundation will be promoting different programs aimed at improving the lives of young people in underserved communities using sport as a tool for social inclusion.

The agreement covers the territories of Canada, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Chile, Panama, Costa Rica, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Curaçao, Dominican Republic, Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Turks and Caicos.

Barça and Scotiabank will continue to work on the development of cobranded products as well as new joint programs with Barça Foundation, while the bank will also be Main Partner of two Barça Academies and a partner of the Barça Academy Camps in its regions of influence, among other assets. In addition, Scotiabank will become a partner of the club's travelling exhibition, 'Barça, The Exhibition', whenever the history of FC Barcelona is showcased in a Latin American country.

The partnership with Scotiabank is part of FC Barcelona's objective to proactively seek and work with partners that are aligned with the values and philosophy that define its brand. Likewise, it reinforces its strategy of establishing partnerships that will ensure that it remains at the forefront, not only on the pitch, but also in the field of sponsorship and sports marketing.
