In this section we provide general information about the Camp Futsal Barça Academy. There is also a frequently asked questions section that should clear up most of your doubts and concerns.
The Barça Escola Camp Futsal is the official FC Barcelona camp and is open to both boys and girls. The main official languages will be Catalan, Spanish and English.

Open doors training and closure
Parents and/or companions can come to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper and enjoy watching their children using the fantastic facilities at FC Barcelona. The open doors training sessions are as follows:

Travel
- When and where do participants arrive?
Participants arrive at and depart from the FC Barcelona Joan Gamper premises. Entrance to the arena is at 9 h. Departure from the premises is at 17 h.
Players on full board at the hotel must be on Sunday 5 July at 19 h at the reception to Hotel City Park, where the Camp director and coaches will be waiting. There will be a meeting to explain how the camp works, the hotel rules, the timetables and the room allocation. - How much money should children be given?
Children do not need money for any of the activities. We recommend that they should be given just enough spending money to cover for a few drinks, souvenirs and similar. - Does my child require insurance?
We process a basic insurance policy for all participants. This policy does not cover loss of personal belongings.
Training sessions
- Where are training sessions held?
Training sessions are held in the futsal arena at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper at Futbol Club Barcelona plus one day in the Palau Blaugrana. - How are the groups organized on the first day?
The players are divided by age but over the first few days changes may be made to the teams depending on level and/or the coaches’ needs to ensure that the camp works best. - What is the coach to player ratio?
There is one coach and monitor for every 10 children. - Do I need to be of a certain level in order to sign up for the camp?
There is no need to be a high level player to take part in the camp, but you do need a minimum knowledge and experience of this sport. This camp is for intercultural exchange, enjoying a Barça experience and developing as a player and person. - Are there specific training sessions for goalkeepers?
There will be specific training during the sessions led by a goalkeeping coach. - My child is a pivot. Will he/she be able to play in that position during the camp?
The FC Barcelona coaches will seek the best individual and group performances and will guarantee that everyone gets to play in different positions. - If a player gets injured, what is the treatment procedure?
The Ciutat Esportiva has physiotherapists, a team of nurses, a doctor and an ambulance. If a child gets sick while at the residence, he or she will be taken to the nearest hospital. - Can parents watch the training sessions?
Parents and companions are invited to attend the open doors training session on the last day of the camp, Saturday 11 July. Parents may not interfere with the training session and no videos can be recorded (although photos may be taken). To attend, parents must register beforehand with the full names of all attending, plus ID and the name of the child sent to the following email address futsal@fcbarcelona.cat with the subject: inscription open training + name of participant
Running the camp
- What are the official languages of the Camp Futsal Barça Academy?
Catalan, Spanish and English. - What other activities form part of the camp?
Every afternoon there are activities like going to the Camp Nou Experience, visit to the Barça Store at Camp Nou, visit to the Palau Blaugrana, La Masia and the swimming pool. - Are cell phones allowed on camp?
Phones will be left in a secure zone and not allowed inside the Ciutat Esportiva. They can be used on excursions that allow them. - How can we contact the staff?
You may contact the staff by email at any time. The general information section provides the phone numbers of the camp coordinators and director. - What items are forbidden on camp?
Alcohol, drugs and tobacco are all totally forbidden on camp. - What is the procedure for dealing with improper behaviour among participants?
Players must respect their teammates, the staff, the materials and the camp rules. In the case of serious misbehaviour, we shall have no option but to expel offenders from the camp. Parents or guardians will be informed immediately and will have to come and collect their child from the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. - What legal checks are used to control coaches and staff?
All coaches and staff must present documents showing that they have no criminal records and no background of sexual offenses. FC Barcelona is also fully committed to safeguarding the security and welfare of every one of the participants. - Where do I call in case of emergency?
If there are any emergencies, you may make direct telephone contact with the camp coordinators or director at any time.
Payment method and cancellation policy
- How do I pay for the camp?
A single payment must be made of the total amount. - What is the deadline for inscriptions?
Until June 17 or while there are still free places. - What is the payment method?
Payment is made on inscription via VISA, VISA Electron or Master Card. - Are there any discounts?
If you have a brother or sister registered for our summer camps or are an FC Barcelona club member, are an employee of FC Barcelona, or were part of the Barça Futsal Academy in the 2019/20 season or if you register before 30 March 2020 you get a 10% discount that is applicable until June 17 or while there are still free places.

** Discounts not cumulative. - Can I cancel the inscription?
You can only cancel the registration in cases of force majeure. You should send an email explaining the situation to: futsal@fcbarcelona.cat and the case will be looked into. - Cancelation of the camp
FC Barcelona reserves the right to cancel the camp if the minimum number of places to organise two training groups are not filled.
