A second ACB defeat, as FC Barcelona have lost the Catalan derby to Hiopos Lleida 86-91. The visitors played with intensity and pace and the blaugranes trailed pretty much throughout, as the search for the first domestic league win this season goes on.
Tough battle
Barça seemed to have realised this was going to be an intense game in time, as after starting 0-7, they quickly came back to go 12-7. However the visitors had the formula to come back themselves and dominate play to go in 21-25 at the end of the first quarter.
The visitors continued to add to their lead after the restart, stretching it to 25-38 (min 16), but Punter and Shengelia had something to say and managed to get it back to 40-44. All the same, Lleida weren't cowed and remained ahead at half time by 43-48. The first half also featured a historic moment as Kusturica became the youngest ever Barça player in the domestic league, his ACB debut coming aged 16 years, 5 months and 12 days old.

Blaugranes lead again briefly...
Lleida kept pace with the blaugranes' scoring, but Shengelia stepped up for Barça, who finally went back into the lead at 59-57 (min 26) after a Will Clyburn triple. However, this game was on a knife edge and despite keeping the lead for a while longer (65-63, min 30), Barça couldn't keep up the pace as the end approached (67-73 min 34).
... but go down in the end
There was still time to come back again and take the win with a final push, but it was pretty even affair in the final minutes and a game that could have gone either way ended up in an 86-91 loss at the Palau Blaugrana.
