Betis 77-85 Barça: Run of wins continues

No let up in the league from Saras' team despite being immersed in their Euroleague play off

Barça's basketball team are in the middle of their Euroleague play off against Zalgiris Kaunas but that did not distract them from league duties as they recorded an impressive 85-77 win over Betis in Seville.

Satoransky and Abrines top scored with 12 points each as coach Saras Jasikevicius rotated his players' time on court ahead of next week's trip to Lithuania.

Three pointers crucial

There was no sign of relaxation from the blaugranes in the initial stages of the game with a clutch of three pointers contributing to a 28-10 lead for the visitors at the end of the first quarter. In the second, Betis came back into the game but Barça still went into the break after the first two quarters with a 47-28 lead.

Confirming victory

Betis outscored Barça 15-4 at the start of the third quarter to reduce the blaugranes' lead to 60-51. Saras' side lost concentration for a period and the Andalusians came to within seven points at the start of the fourth quarter at 67-60.

Nevertheless, Satoransky and Mirotic stepped up to take Barça 15 points clear at 80-65 before easing off to record an 85-77 victory, their 25th of the campaign in the league.
