Barça confirm qualification for the EuroLeague playoffs

Saras' squad will be looking to finish in the first four places in the table to gain court advantage for the quarterfinals

The 74-88 win away to Panathinaikos has confirmed Barça will be in the EuroLeague playoffs. Sarunas Jasikevicius' side did it with four games to go in the regular season and will now set their sights on finishing in the first four places to have court advantage in the quarterfinal playoff.

The playoffs will start on 25 and 26 April, and could run through to 10 May if a fifth game is needed.

Great record

Win number 20 in Europe this season guarantees they are one of the eight best sides in the competition for the fourth season in a row (2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023). Currently third in the table, Barça have won against 15 different opponents, only losing twice to Olympiacos and Efes. The game against Valencia Basket at the Palau is still to come and will be a chance to avenge the defeat in the away game.

Opponent still to be decided

There are still 4 games to go, which makes it difficult to decide on the final eight. Olympiacos and Real Madrid are already through, while the tussle for the playoffs and to be seeded is very much alive with teams like Monaco, Fenerbahce, Partizan, Maccabi, Baskonia, Zalgiris, Valencia Basket, Anadolu Efes, Milán, and Virtus all in the mix.
