Saras' team overcome local rivals to set up a final against Real Madrid

Barça reach the Super Cup final after a 91-74 win over Joventut Badalona in the semi final. Laprovittola was in great form with 26 points and a solid defensive display provided the basis of the victory for Saras Jaskivicius' side. 

The blaugranes will now face Real Madrid in Sunday's final which takes place at 6.30pm CEST. 

Overcome at the start 

The blaugranes came out of the blocks well and established a 9-2 lead early on. However, Joventut reacted well and at the end of the first quarter the visitors had taken the lead at 22-18. 

The second quarter continued with both sides exchanging baskets in an offensive encounter. La 'Penya', as Joventut are known, held an eight point lead at one stage, 39-31 before Laprovittola and Tobey combined to reduce the gap to seven at 46-39 at half time. 

Blaugrana second half fightback 

In the second half Barça improved and they turned the game on its head with 11 unanswered points to lead 50-46. Laprovittola scored 15 points just in the third quarter and with just the final period to go Barça were 68-60 in front. 

Saras' team maintained the intensity in the fourth quarter and recorded an excellent 91-74 win to set up a final against their biggest rivals.
