Barça have got back to winning ways. The win at Fuenlabrada was the 16th in the Liga Endesa. Davies and Kuric scored in a game that was never really that comfortable, but the home side were kept sufficiently at arm's length.
Even start but slight lead at the break
Barça raced into a 0-7 lead that simply shocked Urbas Fuenlabrada into action. The Madrilenians reacted and despite the best efforts of Mirotic, Laprovittola and Davies, the score after the first quarter was 22-20 (min. 10). The second quarter saw both defences on top, with the score remaining tight, 26-27 (min. 17). A three-pointer from Barça's number 21 before a buzzer beater from Sergi Martínez opened up a 6-point lead at the break. It wasn't proving easy.
Lead extended and maintained
Barça scored 11 points after the break, with Laprovittola the orchestrator, the lead opening up to +15. Fuenlabrada weren't cowed, though, and remained in the game, going into the final quarter just 6 points down. Jokubaitis ensured that comeback wasn't going to materialise, however, and Kuric and Davies extended and maintained the lead to close out a 69-89 win.
