Saras' team played well for most of the match, and the series will be decided this Saturday at the Palau
There will be a third game at the Palau Blaugrana. after Saras' side were beaten by a Joventut Badalona team who were much quicker out of the blocks (14-3, min 5).
Bolmaro, with six of Barça's 10 early points, led the comeback (21-10, min 8), however, Bassas' triples prevented the Catalans from reducing the deficit (23-13, min 10).
In the second period, the visitors improved their game and intensity. Little by little Barça clawed away at the host's lead until a Davies basket under the hoop saw the Catalans back to within two points (24-22). Offensive errors quickly saw Joventut surge ahead once more (31-24, min 18).
During the second half, Barça had some good periods of play, although they failed to break down the hosts to any great degree.
With six minutes to play, Barça got back to within three points (53-50, min 34), but once again Joventut were the more decisive when it mattered and they ended up taking the victory 72-63.
Therefore, the quarter-final series will be decided this Saturday at the Palau in the third and final match (6.30pm CEST), a match in which a maximum of one thousand spectators will be allowed.
