FC Barcelona have qualified for their second consecutive Copa del Rey final after beating Iberostar Tenerife, 92-86 in the semifinals on Saturday night. Pau Ribas led Barça with 14 points
Barça went up 12-5 early, but Tenerife went on a 10-5 run to take the lead, with Barça eventually going ahead, 17-15 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Kyle Kuric made back to back threes to run Barça’s lead to 25-16, which they were able to maintain thanks to solid defense and a quick counter attack. Barça led by 12 points at halftime, 41-29.
Iberostar Tenerife tried to claw back, but Barça’s defense only got tougher, and allowed the Catalans to stretch their lead to 72-52 by the start of the fourth quarter. The visitors eventually came to within four points in the final stretch but couldn’t get any closer.
