The most heart-warming moments of 2016

The team has been responsible for making the dreams of many come true this year thanks to their generosity, showing once again why Barça really are more than a club

FC Barcelona have been responsible for making many dreams come true over the course of 2016 as a result of their openness and kindness.

One of those was young Afghan boy Murtaza Ahmadi who, after a picture of him wearing a plastic bag made to look like a Leo Messi jersey went viral, was invited to meet his idol up close in the friendly against Al-Ahli.

There was a similar level of excitement demonstrated by two young Celtic fans who waited at the airport to get the autographs of numerous Barça stars.

Luis Suárez showed his most charitable side as he revealed his solidarity for children suffering from Phenylketonuria (PKU). Candela, a young fan suffering from the disorder, wanted the Uruguayan to dedicate a goal to those suffering from PKU, which he duly did after scoring against Sporting, displaying a shirt saying: “I support PKU”.

The above gestures reflect the club’s motto of being ‘more than a club’.
