Born in Grombalia in Tunisia, his talent was evident from an early age. He began his professional career at AS Hammamet with whom he won the Tunisian Cup in 2012. He made his way to Germany for the 2013/14 season to join THW Kiel. That year he became Bundesliga champion with his new club, scoring 80 goals in 52 matches.

Wael Jallouz arrived in Barcelona on 24 June 2014 from THW Kiel after the German club and Barça struck a deal for the player. The full back signed a two year contract and offered an immediate return as well as a bright future being on the up and coming stars from Africa.

Under Xavi Pascual, his influence on the squad has grown as he enjoyed more and more playing time and he played a part in the historic 2014/15 season of seven titles. 

Jallouz has also featured for the Tunisian national side. With the U16 side in 2009 he was part of the team that came fourth in the World Championships. Furthermore, in 2011 he played an important role in helping Tunisia to a bronze medal in the Junior World Championships in Greece. His performances also earned him a place in the full Tunisian side that took part in the Olympic Games in London in 2012. In 2016 he as part of the Tunisia team who were runners up to Egypt in the African Championships. 

Technical profile

Jallouz is one of the rising stars of the sport. He plays at defensive full back but can also perform at centre back and has a powerful shot from the perimeter.
